As you play, you'll take on the role of four different types of fish who have been separated from their home in a pet shop fish tank. Determined to reunite in the ocean, you must guide them through fragile fishbowls and overcome hazardous obstacles. However, time is of the essence as fish can't breathe air for long.

Controlling the fish in the water requires manual input, including movement, camera panning, and swimming up and down. While swimming freely, you can perform cool tricks like jumping through the air. However, most of the time, you'll be confined to containers such as fishbowls, glass jars, and even janitorial cleaning carts. Survival requires careful movement and control.

The intentional difficulty of the game lies in managing the momentum of your container as you swim. Each container has its limitations, such as the jar only being able to roll back and forth. Additionally, glass can break, leading to your demise. Thankfully, three of the playable fish have special abilities to help you navigate different areas. With 13 main levels to complete, the game offers a challenging but rewarding experience.
